Built in Los Angeles.
Built for small businesses that deserve real systems.
Polaris Digital Studio builds the operating infrastructure behind small businesses. Custom software. Automation. AI workflows. Owner-operated, end to end.
The market sold small businesses the worst version of the internet.
For two decades, the small business playbook online has been broken. Agencies sold templates dressed up as custom builds. Freelancers vanished mid-project. Cookie-cutter SaaS tools made every restaurant, contractor, and clinic look exactly the same. Then a wave of AI website builders made that sameness worse, not better.
Enterprise companies get real operating infrastructure. Custom software, automation pipelines, dashboards that connect their systems end to end. Small businesses got brochure websites and a billing portal. Polaris exists to close that gap. Real systems. Real software. Real accountability after launch. Built for the businesses that big agencies overlook.
Joseph Ritchwood
USMC veteran. MBA. Father. Builder. I started Polaris because I watched too many small business owners burn cash on templates, chase freelancers who disappeared, and end up with a website that didn't represent who they actually are.
I served in the United States Marine Corps (MOS-0351, 2009 to 2013). The Corps taught me discipline, precision, and the value of showing up when you say you will. That's not a marketing line. It's the operating system.
I've volunteered in communities across Brazil. That work shaped how I see service. It's not transactional. When someone trusts you with their business, you owe them your best work, every time.
Today I build custom software, automations, portals, and AI workflows for small businesses. Front-end and back-end, owner-operated, no outsourcing. Every project gets the same standard.

Six principles. Non-negotiable.
Owner-Operated
Joseph builds and ships every project. No outsourced subcontractors, no offshore black boxes.
Built From Scratch
No templates. No themes. Every system is custom code, written for the business it serves.
Show Up
Marine Corps habit. Response times measured in hours, not days. You text, we answer.
Honest Pricing
Fixed scope, fixed price. No surprise invoices. No scope-creep games at the end of the build.
Long-Term Accountability
We stay attached to the work after launch. Maintenance, upgrades, and the unglamorous fixes.
Small Business First
We don't chase enterprise. The mission is the businesses big agencies treat as a rounding error.
How we actually build.
Design reviews, system audits, and the day-to-day of running a studio that ships.
Audit
We map your operations, your funnel, your tooling, and where the manual work is hiding. Nothing gets built before the map is honest.
Build
Custom code. Automation pipelines. Portals, dashboards, AI workflows. Shipped in fixed-scope phases, not open-ended retainers.
Operate
After launch we stay on the system. Monitoring, fixes, feature additions. The studio behaves like an in-house team, not a vendor.
Two flagship products. Both run in production.
Polaris is a studio that builds for clients and a product company that ships its own software. Both products are live or in active runtime.
Polaris Outbound (Napoleon)
Outbound campaigns that send, track, and convert without manual work.
Multi-tenant SaaS that automates outbound sequences end to end. Built on idempotent webhooks, Stripe-grade payment reliability, and durable job processing. Sends, tracks deliveries, and routes replies into a single inbox so small business operators stop juggling tabs.
Kael Trading Bot
An ICT-based futures bot running 24/7 on dedicated hardware.
Automated trading system executing on a strict risk-managed framework. Runs continuously on a dedicated mini-PC with Docker-based deploys, health monitoring, and a hard $120 stop-loss boundary. A multi-tenant SaaS platform is in development to open Kael to outside subscribers.
Four problems we refuse to recreate.
Agencies sold templates dressed up as custom work.
Freelancers disappeared mid-project, leaving owners stranded.
AI tools made every small business look exactly the same.
Nobody connected the operating systems behind the website.
A studio funding two products. A product company growing into a platform.
The next two years are simple. Services revenue continues to fund Polaris Outbound and Kael as products. Both get to a stable, paying subscriber base. From there the studio expands its systems-engineering offering into mid-market without losing the owner-operated standard that started this. No buzzwords, no shortcuts. Just continued compounding work.
